West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee came into power again and this is the third time that too consequently. Also, A few relief schemes are going to be launched soon. In this part, She launched a new scheme for students. i.e, Student Credit Card with 10 lakh loan capacity.
This scheme was initiated on Wednesday (30th June). The interesting thing in this scheme is, Any student after SSC (10th Standard) is eligible and the age limit is 40 years.
The reason for the increasing the age limit to 40 is, We might saw a lot of students were stopped their study careers due to lack of money. Also, After graduated few students are still being idle at home without any job.
So, This Student Credit Card will surely helpful to them to continue their careers and to resume their study. Any student can use this 10 Lakh credit for purchasing academic items, paying college & hostel fees, training, Competitive exams material & coaching etc. They have to repay the loan within 15 years.
Finally, CM Mamata Banerjee concluded that,
- No student has to roam around the bank for an education loan, and
- Now parents won't worry about their children's education and future.
- She (CM) is very happy about initiating this student credit card scheme and this surely results in good vibes in students.
