Types of Search Marketing Methods in Digital Marketing

Search Marketing Methods:

As we are well aware that search marketing is divided into two. i.e. paid and unpaid. The ultimate aim of any online company is to drive huge traffic for greater revenue. But, generating traffic is difficult.
  1. Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
  2. Pay Per Click (PPC)
Here SEO is consistent and will get true and organic traffic from SERP (Search Engine Results Page). It purely depends on how good our website is and how good our products are. Also, it depends on numerous factors. Some of them are website content uniqueness, website speed, structure, Internal link building, bounce rate, etc.

To generate organic traffic from SERP. We must satisfy the google algorithm.

If we are well at at least some of the ranking factors then there is a possibility to rank our blog or website in top positions. It is a complete waste if our website is not featured at the top of SERP. Because as per google survey it suggests that out of 100 almost 70 were navigating to the top first link. and the rest 30 percent will be divided into 2nd and 3rd links.

So, I can conclude that SEO is difficult. But, once our content is ranked in the best position then surely will see great and good traffic.

paid traffic is instant and not consistent. But the main advantage is products will start moving from the inventory. i.e. we may get sales instantly. If the competition is high we must invest more. else we should be good at guessing the actual keywords that our target people are searching in google.

We might see that google ads are popped on top of search results. With Ad mark beside URL. Also, we may generate good traffic from social media applications like Facebook, Instagram, and Linked In, etc by running paid campaigns.

But while compared to Unpaid i.e organic, Paid traffic is not consistent. We may get sales instantly but no longer customers will remember our brand or no longer the website stood on top position on google. If we failed to renew the campaign then automatically ad campaign will be stopped and on the other hand, instantly traffic will also decrease.

So we should try to generate organic traffic from google SERP.

  • Not every person will navigate to a webpage by clicking Ad links on SERP
  • It will be not sure that, the customer who purchased the product through the ad will return the same if there is no ad campaign running.
  • If you are failed to invest to run then there is no use in running ads once.
  • Since it is a paid campaign there will be competitors but it all depends on the keyword volume and difficulty. We must bid a good amount.
  • Profits will be not that much high since we are investing money in running advertisements.
